Job Title: Security Guard
Company: SRO Housing Corporation
Location: Skid Row, Downtown Los Angeles
Pay Range: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with availability for overtime and weekends as needed.
Qualifications

Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position

Trained security officer with a diploma and active CA Guard Card
-
Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
-
Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
-
Strong surveillance skills and attention to detail
-
Integrity and professionalism
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply

Security Guard experience: 3 years (Required)

Customer service experience: 3 years (Required)
Responsibilities

Protect Properties: Safeguard SRO Housing Corporation’s properties, tenants, and staff by maintaining a secure environment.

Monitor for Crime: Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.

Defend Life or Property: Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property as needed.

Incident Documentation: Take accurate notes on unusual occurrences and report any suspicious incidents in detail.

Patrol Buildings: Patrol buildings and perimeters randomly or regularly.

Control Access: Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.

Monitor Security Systems: Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
